e . nun . ci . ate |iˈnənsēˌāt|

e . nun . ci . ate |iˈnənsēˌāt|
verb [ trans. ]
say or pronounce clearly : she enunciated each word slowly.

We've been working on passing some of Warrior 2's requirements in his Webelos book  and had this story to tell.

Warrior 2:  In primary,  Sis. Ellis was telling  us to enunciate when we sing. She asked us what the word meant and no one answered.  She then mentioned that there is a kid in Junior primary that knew what the word meant. In my head I knew she was talking about Warrior 3.   Sis. Ellis was surprised that someone in CTR 6 knows the answer.  So, she turns to ask Dad how old Warrior 3 is (the King was playing the piano).  And Dad said, "Five." (Warrior 2 shaking his head --because his little brother is no longer five but is six years old.)

ME:   why didn't you correct Daddy?

Warrior 2:  Princess did.  She told Dad that Warrior 3 is six but he insisted that he was five.

Anyway, that was funny.  The King is getting old.
I can just imagine Warrior 3  raising his hand quickly and way up high waiting to be called.  Warrior 3 is our motor mouth and likes to make conversation.

I remember when he was two or three years old.  Every time we would go somewhere, he would  always have something to say.  It didn't matter what time his mouth would keep going.  I specially like the times when we would drive home late  around 11 o'clock ...the 3 other gooey babes are asleep, comatosed, knocked-out and snoring.....Warrior 3 would still find things to talk about from the time we pull out of Wal-Mart Mililani parking lot to Laie.  Very verbosa if you tell me for a little guy his age.

Anyway, he is know in first grade, no longer a little gooey.  Anyway, going back to the word enunciate.  Warrior 3 knew the  meaning of the word since he was 2 years old.  We were working on this topic one summer to help Warrior 1 speak clearly.   That's how  he learned the word.

No School today!

No school today!
I slept in.
I didn't go exercise.

The King looks good and sounds good. I don't hear him moaning and grunting as he gets off the bed. It doesn't look like he is carrying a ton of bricks struggling to get up. He is looking better.  He even made breakfast.

Did an hour of work  for Coach K.
Left to go to BYUH gameroom at 12! We played bowling. Played pool. Air hockey and Ping-pong!  Ate at the snackbar.  Had some fish
and chips, LocoMoco, veggie burger and taco salad.  Got home at 4pm and I took a nap!  The beach would have to wait.  We had a cutie visit us this evening.  Our little Aaron next door.  Here is a picture of him.  Isn't he adorable?

CHIRO--3rd Adjustment

The king is going to see the Chiro 2x a week since his range of motion has increased from the initial visit.  Yehey!

Warrior 2's Pack Meeting
He received several awards this evening.  I have no pictures because I forgot to bring the camera.  Played a game --throwing frisbee at several targets.  The kids formed a balloon orchestra as we sang "You are my Sunshine."   We had s'mores in back of Bishop's house.
Well, here are the pictures of Warrior 2's awards.  It would've looked better if the Warrior himself was in the picture.

CHIRO--2nd Adjustment

Well, the King and I went to the CHIRO again yesterday (Tuesday 8-26-08).  It was his 2nd adjustment.  After his second adjustment he was told to come back for his third one for the week. (Thursday 8-28-08).  The King is looking better.  He is able to get up without grumbling and moaning.  He was actually standing in front of the stove making us dinner instead of laying on the floor suffering. =)  Yippe!  It's good to see some progress.

Card Swap!

Well, it's that time again.  Time to swap cards.  I haven't played with my stamps for a while. I'm glad we have these swaps because it forces me to get my toys out and mess around with them and actually put them to use. As usual I waited 'til the last minute to make mine.  It was supposed to be turned in (to Plain Jayne) yesterday but I only started a couple of hours ago.  A couple of us are meeting at her house to learn  new techniques.  Anyway, here is  my card.   I can't take credit for it because I cased it from someone online but I can't remember who. Sorry.   I'll post pictures of the cards I'll be getting this evening.

CHIRO--1st Adjustment

The Chiro called me back  Saturday afternoon and was able to accommodate the King today.  After our initial visit on Thursday (8-21-08), the Chiro wanted to see the King again to let him know what recommendations are regarding treatment and how often he needs to get adjusted per week and blah blah depending on the tests.

So, we went to the Chiro again this morning. The Chiro said that the King's L5 is really bad. He has an ANTERIOR LISTHESIS (in the LUMBAR region).   In other words, the bone is pushed forward.  The Chiro was able to do some adjustments to the King. He was on three different tables. 1st table his spine was being massaged. Creating space between each vertebrae...allowing synovial fluid to flow. The Chiro was telling the King that "our body creates its own WD-40. Ya, it's called the synovial fluid." (Hey, I learned that in YOGA!) I hope that the King's back can get back to normal.   Yey! He finally got adjusted.  The King was so cute as he was laying on the tables.  That 1st table,  Spinalator was tickling his turtles.    It was making him smile despite all his pains! (That Spinalator looks fun.  I want to try it, too!) The 2nd table, he was in a prone position (superman pose without the skin tight suit) and it involved lowering/raising the legs  and lateral flexion to the right and left.  Again the lateral flexion was tickling the King's turtle. I saw that smile.

Poor King have been tolerating this pain for so long.    He works so hard to provide for us and neglects his well being.  Hellurh!  What is it with men and doctors?  Anyway, 2nd adjustment tomorrow at 9:30 am.  I will be going to work in the afternoon.

I called Mama and Papa after work today just to let go of toxins in my system.  That was rejuvenating.  Thanks to OTWC  it's free to call GUAM.

Family Home Evening
Well, Plain Jayne gave a wonderful lesson at FHE.   Acronym STAD and the WANT MONSTER. Sang the song, "Dare to do Right".
Played "THUMPER"
S represents STOP!  Before you act, stop.  Don't do it yet.  Just pause long enough to do the other steps.
T represents THINK!  Think ahead to the consequence.  Ask yourself, what will it be?
A represents ASK!  Ask yourself if the consequence will be worth it.
D represents DO!  After thinking and asking, do the right thing.  This step is very important.  This will decide who is in control, the want MONSTER or YOU.

(My stomach doesn't feel good.  I think I ate too much at FHE...is this heartburn? Wait I just took my calcium supplement..is that what's giving me this churning feeling in my belly and up my esophagus?  Hold on I think I'm going to barf!)

Okay, I'm back!  eeew.  That was gross.  It's been a while since I've upchucked  something to that extent.  NO!  I'm not pregnant!  There went my dessert down the sewer.  Fruit Trifle, vanilla ice cream and brownies.  yum! Thanks to Tita 96762 and Plain Jayne who beautifully created those master pieces.

My Young Women

I made these little goodie bags along with my handouts (about service) for my Laurels class today.    I baked some chocolate chip cookies to go in these little  bags.  I waited last minute to do my lesson so I never finished them in time for church.  We made it to Sacrament meeting though, but I skipped the 2nd hour class (Gospel Doctrine) so I could finish my lesson for the 3rd hour.  I found myself a corner in the cultural hall since the kitchen was taken.  I need to stop procrastinating so I could better prepare for my class.  I know I was called in this position so I can better myself.  With this calling I am forced to open my scriptures and study them.  I am guilty for not opening my scriptures.  With this calling at least I get to open my scriptures when I prepare my lesson.  I know that is still not a whole lot but it is something.  The last time I diligently read my scriptures was when we were challenged by the prophet to read them.  Now, that's a long time.  I need to repent.  I need to study the scriptures.  Anyway, this calling is helping me speak to these young women.    I need to better connect with each one of them and really get to know them.  I'm not there yet but hope to get there.  I guess I need to put more effort into really getting to know them.  It's just that I don't know what to say.  I guess that's what I need to figure out.  Any ideas?

Prutas I miss

Prutas (fruits) I miss. I was reading the newspaper and came across an article that had a picture of star apples. Wow. I wanted some. Too bad I couldn't go in the back yard and just pick from an invisible starfruit tree. Hellurh! Then I started reminiscing about the past growing up in the Philippines. We didn't have much. We didn't have nice things. We didn't have a car but had Papang's jeep. We walked to school and back. We rode the tricycles, jeepneys and mini buses. OOOH, don't forget the Kalesa or horse drawn carriage and the carabao (water buffalo) dragging the kariton (cart). Well, going back to the fruits I miss... here they are! yummy!
"LANGKA" OR Jackfruit
"CHEESA" or Egg Fruit
"GUAYABANO" or Soursop
"CAIMITO" or Star Apple
"LANZONES"
"MANGA" or Native Mango
"RAMBUTAN"

http://www.tropicalfruitnursery.com/sapodilla/pages/Alano-Sapodilla.htm"CHICO"
"SARGUELAS"
"BALIMBING"
"MAKOPA"
"ATIS"
"UNAS" or Sugar Cane
"KAMANTIRIS"
"SALAMAGI" or Tamarind
"CASOY" Cashew oh so juicy.

"LUMBOY" Look like grapes. I remember when Manang Charisse, moih and I were 4 and 5 years old, Inang Baket (great- grandma) climbing our Lumboy tree in the back yard. She climbed that tree and she shook it with all her might and the fruits would just drop like rain on the ground, on our backs, shoulders, arms and heads.
"ARAY!" "Keep picking! There are lots!" After picking them up, we'd wash 'em and sprinkle sea salt, cover the container and we'd shake the container until the fruits became all covered with salt.

Chiropractor Day! 8/21/08

Thursday! We went to a different chiro today. How I came about choosing this Chiro is my miracle. Heavenly Father does answer prayers. I know you all know that..... but I was a little stressed as to who to pick. There were a lot of names to choose from. I was just gonna call the one who is the closests from home. Anyway, the King is in a lot of pain and discomfort. Started making the call. I first called the one with the most experience but no opening on Thursdays. I make another phone call...no opening until the following week. I was saying a little prayer in my head....H.F. the King is in agony must see one Chiro asap who should I call. Please guide me. Then this 3rd phone call I didn't want to make because the name didn't sound local. I'm glad we landed on this one because they happened to be LDS.

Luscious Lemons

Yummy lemon barfs.  OOPPS!  (I can't even type after all that sugar in my system.)  Lemon barfs don't sound appetizing at all.  I meant to say "yummy lemon bars!" Princess made lemon bars for FHE.  I was craving them.  You know that time of the month when you crave anything and everything that is not good for you.  Hey,  that's almost everyday at my house.  ha ha!  I don't know why I try to wake up at 4:40 in the morning to exercise when I know I'm just going to stuff my face with corn syrup, high fructose syrup, hydrogenated oil and all that stuff I can't even say or spell but yet I stuff my face with them anyway.  I never learn.
No wonder my shirts are getting so fitted and my arms can barely fit my shirt's arm holes. Unwanted arm tourniquet!  I'm choking my major artery in my arms!  Help! I don't want to lose my arms.   What's up with the SUGAR AND FAT?   Too much!  NO good.  My body can't handle!   I won't budge about giving up my sweets  so something has to BULGE.  (my arm is just one area)
Aaaaaarrrrrrrghhh!
As I was saying, Princess made these for FHE and today I made them.  Monday's lemon bars didn't last.  I was craving for some today, therefore I made more!

What?  Where did it go?  I had a lemon bar on my plate or was that my 3rd one and it's all gone!  I did it again.  Not being mindful when I eat.   I do that all the time.  I see my food and then I don't see it.  I ate too fast that I don't remember eating it.  Did I really eat it?  How sad is that?  Terrible!  I need to be mindful when I eat.  Relax.  Use all the senses.  Listen to the sound of the food.  Close the eyes and enjoy.  OH, yeah right.  That only lasted a couple seconds...although that would be the ideal thing to do.  Anyway.  Laters.

The King's X-RAY

Took the King to the Chiropractor today.  Filled out papers (the king hated that), took x-rays which took an hour.  He said he'll explain  he X-RAY later in the afternoon.  The king was asked to stand up, walk, bend forward, sideways, blah blah.  Chiro too busy in the morning.  Tells us to come back in the afternoon. Took the King home and  I went to work for 3 hours.

At 3pm went back to the Chiro.  Showed us the X-RAY.  One vertebrae on the lumbar region is partially dislocated.  LOOKS really bad!  How can he not feel that?  Well, the King felt it but didn't do anything about it.  WHY?  All these years I thought it was muscle tightness and soreness from doing manual labor (pulling of cables, crawling under houses, climbing and stuff).  I was so wrong!  Here I was thinking I was doing him a favor by massaging him but in fact I was not.   All those years of massaging and the kids and moi standing, sometimes bouncing on his back  added to the problem.  It made the problem worse.   Sleeping on his belly another red flag.  HELOOW!  WHAT ELSE went WRONG?  That EXPLAINS his snappy-ALA-crab moods.   Because he is SOOPER uncomfortable and in so much pain.  Don't take it personally if he snapped or snaps at you.  =)

How can I relate?  Think of an excruciating toothache or better yet LABOR PAINS going 24/7.  Not to mention his pain had been going on for YEEEEEEEAAAAAARRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSS!   I don't understand how he was able to ignore this pain for that long?  Too much tolerance?  Too stubborn to listen?  You tell me.  PAIN is one of our body's way of communicating to us "something is wrong".  I guess now, his body is SCREAMING that he is surrendering.

Anyway,  the Chiro  kept asking the King if he was ever in an accident or any kind of trauma and what not but hell-ow the King just laughs and says no.  In my head...I was like "didn't you say you fell through someones roof while working?  Didn't you prevent that long ladder that was against the pole from falling in the middle of Kamehameha Hwy?"

The King has been in a lot of pain.  It hurts to stand for a long time (a long time=5, 10, 15 minutes, who knows.  IDK),  it hurts to get out of bed,  it hurts to get in the van.  What doesn't hurt?   Anywhoo..we won't see this Chiro again because he doesn't take our insurance.  I hoped that the King would get some kind of relief today getting adjusted but that didn't happen.   The King was giving me a hard time about the appointment being a waste of time and $$$ because the Chiro just told him what he already knew.  "I already know what they are going to tell me. "  UGH!

Need to find one Chiro that would take us.

Monday Night's FHE!

Family Home Evening
Lesson:  Listening to the spirit with our heart, eyes and mind.  We need to listen as well as look as we go through this life. If we listen very carefully, we can receive guidance and direction from the Holy Ghost.
Scripture: Yea, behold, I will tell you in your mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost, which shall come upon you and which shall dwell in your heart. (Doctrine and Covenants 8:2)
After dinner, we had dessert.  Played UNO!  One of the favs.   The King and Warrior 3 won the last battle.  Yehey!
Let's do the LOTUS POSE!  Pretzel that is.  All the Gooey Goos can do it.  Warrior 1 and 2 surprised me.  They are so goofy.  Warrior 1 started dangling and giggling as Warrior 2 tried to poke his butt-tocks.  hee hee hee.  Princess and Warrior 1 are doing the SCALE POSE or Tolasana.

Bunga ti Papaya Mi!

Ma! Pa!  Check it out.  2nd generation nga bunga ti papaya mi tatta.  Adda dakkel.  Adda bassit.  Adda nakutong.  Adda nalukmeg.  Nu malpas balet  nga agbunga pukanek ton ta adda pay ti walo nga kayo waiting nga dumakkel.  We don't have to go diay BYU farm to buy  adda lang diay likod ti balay.   LIBRE pay kona yo man judge.

Here is a short story about how we picked the papayas.  With Princess, no problem.  With Warrior 2,  it was funny.  Not once but twice in a row.

me:  Warrior 2 are you going to catch it?
W2:   Yes, mom.
me:   Are you sure?
W2:   YES, mom!  I got it.
me:  okay, ready?  (poke, jab, shift, poke a little harder with a long stick)  Papaya coming down.
W2:   OOOPS!   (was concentrating so hard keeping his eyes on that papaya that he failed to catch it.   THUD!  He let it pass through and CHUCKLES. )
me:  You just watched it fall!  Nice following the papaya.  You were supposed to use your hand, dude!

My Gulay!

O My Gulay!  O my vegetable.  They played this commercial over and over when we went home in the summer last year.  The Gooey Goos actually enjoyed the singing and dancing.  It was a pretty long  one.  They've heard it so many times that when  this commercial or PATALASTAS was played,  it actually made them smile and sing along.  Summer  2007  memories.  Before you press play  you will need to turn off my music at the bottom of my page.   Go ahead scroll all the way down and press pause, then come back up.

Smother Him with Kindness

Open House at Kahuku

After yoga...Princess and I  ate quickly.....the GOOEY GOOS went to Kahuku for the OPEN HOUSE that started at 6pm.   Geez luuuuuuuweeeeeeez!  I didn't know that the open house was somewhat structured.   I thought we all met the teachers at the cafe.  (Well, that's how I remembered it when I did my student teaching over 10 years ago.)   That was not all.  After the cafe,  they split for classes.   They "ding" the bell for you to go to the next class and so forth and so on.  I wasn't prepared for that.   We got there at 7:30pm.  We only got to meet one of Princess' algebra teacher Mr. Buckholz and three of Warrior  1's SPED  teachers.  Oh well, we didn't get a note explaining the series of events.

Anyway, I'm almost done inputting the stats.  Every time I work on it I end up falling asleep.  Seriously.  Typing those numbers have some hypnotic effect on me.  It felt like I was being sedated.  I've napped 2 days in a row now after typing a bunch of numbers  for half an hour.   Lucky me.   I can take this  power nap right in the middle of my floor as I hold one number key down to infinity and beyond and as I drool in my afternoon sleep.  Oh, don't worry.  Honor Code...I don't get paid sleeping.  =)  Grateful for this blessing.  I can work from home after my PART TIME TEACHING job at KAHUKU ELEMENTARY.

Until next time.  Just another day at the Gooey Goos home.

p.s.  (porgot someting)
The Gooey Babes got a lecture from me again today as I dropped them off to school.  Same reminder....same problems different day and order.

7am  after breakfast
me:  did you take your vitamins?  medicine?      GOOEYS:  NOT YET, MOM.
me:   did you brush your teeth? GOOEYS:  NO, MOM.
me:  did you fix your bed? GOOEYS:  OH, YA.
me:  did you brush your hair? GOOEYS:  NO, MOM.
me:  did you wash your face?  GOOEYS:  OOOOPS! NO, MOM.
me: (after getting out of the shower, bathroom or from changing...I still see the food [breakfast] on the table.   OH MY GULAY! ) Clean up the kitchen! Put the food away.  Wipe the table!  BLAH blah blah blah...nag nag nag.     G-weez!   Hurry up!  C'mon. Let's Go!

I should just record myself and  press play every morning.  Well, that was this morning.

After school...  You don't finish your chores you don't play.  You dis me.  You whine.  Are mean to each other..."NO PLAY!"

WOW!  They all did what they were supposed to do with little or no complaints.  Miss (that would be Princess) even got to do the dishes before she went to gym.  Wowness your Highness!  Now, why can't it be like that everyday?  OPPOSITION.  Opposition in all things.

In Yoga..we are lengthening and strengthening.  We are sinking from the waist down and lifting from the waist up.  Feet are grounding and crown of the head is floating.  Pressing and pulling. yin and yan.  Black and white.  Morning and night.  Gotta love challenges in life.

I LOVE MY CRAB!

Well, 3 days in a row...lessons about crab.  Gotta love it!  =)

This song is dedicated to LAVALAVA! GO GIRLFRIEND!

Another CRABBY Lesson

Butter him up with compliments.  That is so true.  I don't need to say more.  But I'm much nicer than this Mrs. Crabby in this comic strip.

Back to work

Back to school and back to work.  Posting will probably done on a weekly basis...I need to get organized.  As soon as I  finish inputing data for Coach K's study from last school year I think I'll have more blogging time.

I didn't go walking at the beach today.  I'm sorry Aunty Raine.  I pressed my snooze button at 4:40am and then slept all the way to 5:30am.  I know I didn't show up on Saturday as well.  So, sori.  ('_')

Well, gotta input stats now.  Back to work.

How to Live with a Crab

Who is the CRABBY-YER CRAB?  I don't know about you guys but this comic strip from MUTTS (7/28/08) perfectly portrayed some of our dramas in life.   For those of you who don't  know us... =)  the King and I are like this at times.    I've gotten so good at it that I no longer need ear plugs!  Ha ha!  So, which CRAB are you?

No Serious Homework Yet

I didn't do anything today.  I slept all day today.  From 9am-1pm.  I don't know but my body just felt so tired.   Therefore, I surrendered.
A week of school have gone and still no homework.  Watsup wit dat? "Okay, no homework then you read."   The GooeyBabes are cool with that.  Especially Warrior 3...because the more he read the more time he got on the playstation.   He read 4 books yesterday...A-Z  Mysteries  (can't remember which one)  and  3 Magic Tree House 15,16, 17.  Anyway, today he finished reading 2 books from Beast Quest by Adam Blade
 1. Ferno the Fire Dragon
   2.  Sepron the Sea Serpent.

Well, chores are done and now Warrior 1 and 2 are jumping next door.  On Plain Jayne's trampoline.  Princess is in Gym.  The King was off today.  I slept for 4 hours...recovering from I don't know I have or had exactly.  Well, I gotta go get ready for class.

Under the Weather

Monday 8/4/08
Ohayo Gozaimasu!  Walked around BYUH, up and down admin parking lot, around the dorms, TVA, up the Temple and finally at the beach....(Temple to Hukilau and back) with Aunty Raine this morning @ 5 am.  It was a good sweat busting workout.  My gluts felt it.  Was dripping when I got home.    Went to work....no kindies in class room yet  (they have their orientation) so Mrs. Cost and Mrs. Graham suggested that I come in next week.   No sense come in if no more kids for read to.  Who English me?  Myself I say.

Tuesday  8/5/08
Woke up with a sore throat.  Walked with Plain Jayne (same person as Plain Jane--I've been misspelling her name all dis time.)   Tita 96762  had to babysit.  Emergency kine.   Good  job Tita....you did your service for the day.  Are  you going to do it again the next day?    Great walk neighbor!

Went to yoga.   The class before me was cancelled but I was not informed so I didn't have a key to the sound system.  Made the yogis and yoginis wait...(there were only 7 this evening)  while I ran to get the keys from the security office.  How inconvenient?  Can't really do anything about the past.  Focus on the present moment.  Let it go.

Class pau.  Felt better.    Went home.  Oopps.  Spoke too soon.  Sniffling, body aches and sore throat still.  (I think I drank too much smoothie for the past couple of days....my throat not used to extreme cold.)  Came home ate grilled eggplant seasoned with garlic salt and brown rice.   Naimas man.

After dinner.  I  had Princess step on my back, right gluteus maximus down to my thighs while Warrior 2 stepped on the soles of my feet.  Relax and let go.  Fell asleep on di floor for half an hour.   I think I even drooled on my sleeve.   eeeeeeew!   Excuse me.  I'm just human with lots of imperfections and different dimensions.

Anyway, I was up in time for family prayer.  Sitting  with my legs crossed, arms folded and  chin on the notch of my sternum....I sat half awake and mostly  sleeping.   Then  I felt someone poking me to say prayer.  Warrior 3 loves to pick on me to pray.    Breakfast, lunch and dinner.   "Mom, will  you pray, please?"

Anyway, I'm deeply meditating in my own world.   Zen.   In my head ..."leave me alone!"   I feel another poke here and there.  Lucky, the witch in me never came out  to ruin the peace and serenity.    That witch is super scary and uh-guh-lee.  I just went ahead and prayed.  Do I remember what I said in the prayer?  NO!!!    Not really.

Really wasn't feeling good at all.  Went to bed early...9 pm.  I was debating whether to call Aunty Raine and let her know that I was not up to waking up at 5 in the morning...I was not feeling good.   I was cold.  Body aching.  Runny nose. Sore throat.  A headache that doesn't know what to do whether to go or stay.  I didn't take any pain meds because I was too tired to go get it.   Well, I didn't call Aunty Raine.    I dreamed ...I dreamt...  Anyway this is not an English assignment..so give me a break.   Pick one that sounds or looks good.  =)   I just didn't show up!  How terrible of me!  I woke up and it was already 6 am!   aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!  I ditched her again!

Woke up and it was only 1 in the morning.  Whew!

Wednesday  8/6/08  That's today!  durrrrrrh.
Woke up in time for our walk at 5am with Aunty Raine.  Well,  yup!  We ended up walking after all. I just bundled up. Long yoga pants, long sleeve shirt under hooded jacket. I was praying that she wouldn't take us to do the beach route and she read my mind. ( i'm falling  asleep as i tyype).  Went for a walk with Tita 96762 and Plain Jayne.   Nice and sunny...but still felt cold so had my jacket on.  Tita 96762 felt hot seeing me wear my jacket.  Funny moment:  The three of us calling each other deaf ear.  You had to be there.  =)

I don't know what bug is attacking my immune system.  I know, it too will pass.

Warrior 3's Tooth

Warrior 3 woke us up Sunday morning with an exciting news!   "Mom!  My tooth came out!"    I was still half asleep.  "Great!  Go put it in a ziploc bag so you don't lose it."  When I got up he showed me the tooth and said, "It's tiny."

This is his 3rd tooth.  The tooth fairy  was generous and gave him a quarter.    Congratulations Warrior 3!

Rested and Rejuvinated

Well, good morning!  It's been a good day so far.  The Gooey Babes are still in deep slumber.  You see Friday night is their stay up late to watch and play night.  They are keeping the King's tradition growing up.  They always look forward to Fridays and if I ever ground them  this is one of the things they don't want me to take away.  =)  Anyway...I was so tired last night that after the party I just wanted to crash and go "moi-moi".   The King is  in much pain.  (same pains for the last...oh idk....along time.)  Offered to massage the King.

King:   "no, you're tired."  Well,  it's 9:37 am Warrior 3 is up.  Ooooooo and Princess just woke up.  Me:   I can message!   King:  What,  all 12 seconds?    They are hungry.  I'll make peanut butter-and  banana smoothie.  yummy!   9:52 am.  I'm drinking and typing with one hand right now.   Hey i type pretty fast with just one ima.  (hand)  Okay, back to the conversation.

Me:  Not!   I can ...20 minutes!   So,  I proceeded.   Masaje.   Sige masaje.  Masaje dayta.  Masaje with eyes open.   Masaje with my eyes closed.  MASAJE really hard.   Masaje really soft.   Masaje.  Masaje -n- masaje some more until my fingers were lactic acid laden. Switch!   Masaje with my fist.  Masaje  with my forearm.  Masaje  with my elbow.  I was slowing down.  That felt like 30 minutes.  I thought I heard the King snore.  Good he is asleep.   So, I slowly backed away...slithered my way to my side of the bed.  I couldn't scoot myself up and lift my head to put on my pillow....I'm dead tired from staying until 3am the night before...shut my eyes (I don't know for how long)  and heard the King moaning and groaning from  pain.   So, I sat up tried to massage but was too tired.  The King sensed that there was no "umph!" in my hands....so he was nice to let me go to sleep.   Just like my cell phone.  I was running on low bat,  and soon that low bat finally went DEAD BAT!!!

Woke up at 6 this morning.... King is still in pain.  Started to massage him and the incident from last night's massage came up and he said that I  just massaged him for 2 minutes!  What? Not!  The King is funny.  I know I massaged him longer than that.

Warrior 2 is up.  It's now 10:27 am.     Eat  and then do chores!

So, this is what happened the rest of  today.   (Saturday 8/3/08)    Oh, did I mention that I went to Aunty Z's class---man those stability balls are light but holding them between my legs made my inner thighs burn.  Saw Aunty Raine there as well.    I'll continue later.

Okay it's later.  I took a nap.....we ate, wrapped more lumpia,  did chores--dishes, bathroom, laundry, trash, put the rest of the junk from the food fest in the garage and organized the garage  and last but not least....I finally washed the van!  Yey!  It's clean!   Dinner Time!  Aaaahhhhh!!!   What to cook?

I'm back again.  The Gooey Babes  didn't get to *play.  Well, that's because they chose to play around when they were supposed to be doing their chores.  Same chores every Saturday....doesn't change and yet they still have to be told to do this and this and that.  Hellurh!  The King  comes home and asks the kids, "did you *play?"  The anwser of course is a no.  The King was like "wow, mommy just makes you work and doesn't let you play."  Hellow!  I couldn't let them.  They didn't finish their chores.  They were too busy playing around with each other.  Folding the laundry...instead of folding they start throwing the little things at each other.   Underwear found in places where there shouldn't be any underwear!   Oh, what a beautiful sight.  NOT!

I ask Warrior 2 to wash the dishes...he responds...."I can not.  There is a greasy bowl in there."  WHAT?!  Are you serious?   I'm mad.  That's it!  Sutil nga primero ni Warrior 2, man.  Then when he was done scrubbing he was like "okay, Warrior 3 can rinse."  Dude!  Finish it!    That's Warrior 2's concept of DIVISION OF LABOR.

Why is it that when the King calls the Gooey Babes come running like there's fire in their pants.  When I call...I have to raise my voice and  call them several times before I get their attention.  It's not fair.

Well, this is us.  We are not a perfect family.  We are all learning as we are going.    It's a process.   Lucky, I'm rested and rejuvinated.  Was able to cope today's excitement.

Relax and surrender.   Inhale through the nose and  exhale through the nose.   G'day.

Lumpia Shanghai

Had a work meeting yesterday.  It was a fun and foodfilling meeting.   We had yogurt, bananas, fruit salad, muffins, granola bars and french bread with cream cheese or pesto.  I'm not a pesto person but that was some yummy pesto.  We even got to experience Ui's Turbo Jam.  CheeHoo!  That was funkeh!  yeah!  I better checkout  her class next time.
I'm still up.  It is now 1:39 am just taking a break from wrapping those painstakingly rolled manini lumpia.  One of Profesor and Profesora Furuto's  son,  Mike is getting married later on today and we were asked to cook beef broccoli  and  lumpia shanghai.  So...this is it for now.  I gotta go back wrapping.  wish me luck.

Well, I'm back!  It is 10:40 am and again taking a break.  I've wrapped over 240 so far.  I didn't finish this morning.  I was seeing double at 3am had to get some sleep.  Woke up at 7:11 and kids were almost late for school.  Warrior 1 and Princess barely made it to class.  Anyway... I wish Princess was home to help me pull the lumpia wrappers apart so all i have to do is smack the filling in the middle and roll.  It's taking me longer  without my big helper.  =)

Ended up wrapping 420 total and the king made about 4 big pans of beef broccoli.
