Baby is strong.

My appointment went well. BMI is 23.4. I weighed in at 116.6 lbs. ( I think it's the scale.) Plus, I started out weighing 10 lbs. heavier. My first weigh in at 8 weeks is 117lbs. NGIII! TABACHOY! When I was pregnant with Warrior 3, I weighed 118 lbs at 24 weeks. With this pregnancy I am going on my 20th week and I already weigh 116+. I think we are okay. Anyway, Warrior 1,3 and Princess were with me and heard baby's heart beat. Baby is strong.

Christmas is Not Over!

Ho Ho Ho! Special Delivery!    Christmas all over again!  Thank You!

The Goo Babes were like..."I think I know what it is! I bet you it's the Clone Wars!"   They were so excited opening it. Well, Warrior 2 just ripped the wrapper after reading the note as the other two Warriors anxiously awaits what is in the package. And so, they were right! WOOOHOOO! I had to be the KILL JOY. They were not able to play it yet since they were not nice about doing chores yesterday. So, they'll have to be better today! They are just itching to play the game. It is still in the plastic! Thank you Fakatava Clan for the awesome gift! Check out the big smiles!

Black Out!

Island wide BLACK OUT!  We were eating dinner at Ala Moana.    We had just finished getting our food when the lights went out.   We stayed and ate our dinner in the dark! =) We didn't have a problem getting out of the parking lot at Ala Moana. We got home around 10 pm and we had a blast at home playing board games with Grandma Goo. Warrior 3 was happy playing with his Legos! We were okay. I'm grateful for propane!

I am grateful that I grew up experiencing black outs or brown outs. Just like the Board of Water Supply telling us to conserve water that night because once we run out....that is it. That's because we need electricity to refill our reservoir.  In the Philippines,  we often pumped buckets of water once our reserve in the tank ran out. Since we needed electricity to refill our "TANKE".  This is actually the same pump we used growing up  minus the PVC pipe.  We took turns pumping..it was actually fun until we got tired. The Goo Babes and I went home to the Philippines a year and a half ago and the pump still exist  and serving its purpose.    Can you believe that they don't pay for water in the Philippines?  Well, that's if you pumped your own water.    We were fortunate enough to have both growing up.  Some still don't have running water and would have to walk to the nearest water pump station which could be a block or so away.  Anyway...I am  very blessed to be  living  here in "ESTADOS UNIDOS".  We have it easy.  All the comforts and conveniences in life.  I can't complain.  Oh, yeah..that's Warrior 2 in the background.

In Guam, when typhoons hit the island, sometimes we go on for weeks with no power. So this black out was nothing.    The electricity was only out for 20 hours.

Gramma Rocks!

Grandma Goo you da bomb! You are one cool Grandma! You totally ROCK! Check her out!

Humble Christmas

Saturday (12/13/08) after the flood, we took the van in for maintenance.  We left early so we would be the first ones there when they opened.  We were the second ones there.  Our appointment was at 8 and hung out at the shop.  They didn't finish the van until 9:45 am.

Then we met up with the King at their office in Kaneohe and right across their office was a nursery.  So, we checked that out and that is where we got the tree.  Oh, Christmas Tree!  Oh, Christmas Tree!  Warrior 2 had to buy our Christmas tree with his money.  We bought a 5 ft tree.  Princess picked it out.   =)  After that we, went to eat manapua and lumpia at the Windward Mall food court.  Hung out at the mall just window shopping since we didn't have any money!  The kids were cool about just hanging out.
Hi! Princess here!  Mom (Yoga Mama) asked me to write something on her blog, so here I am.
Mom had a talk with me and the Warriors about Christmas this year.  She said that this Christmas we won't be getting a lot of presents.  Because money is hard, don't expect a lot of presents to open on Christmas.   Then she goes on and says that when she was little, her family didn't have a lot and they didn't really get any presents for Christmas . They were lucky to even get some kind of  Christmas tree.   She said that we should save all our money, but if we should spend it , we should spend it wisely.  We also shouldn't spend money we don't have.   If we can't pay for it don't buy it.

But, even though we didn't have a lot of presents to open, Christmas was still fun!  Our stockings were stuffed full of goodies, and we all got some things that were on our wish list.  Even dad (the KING) got what he wanted.  GUITAR HERO WORLD TOUR!   The complete band set. We had so much fun playing with it.  Even Grandma was rocking. =] Warrior 3 got what he wanted, a 600 piece Mars Mission set.  Warrior 1 got  snacks and a Star Wars Force Unleashed DS game.   Warrior 2 got a Star Wars trivia book and WWE game.  I got just what I wanted, clothes, shoes, and earrings.  (Yes!) We all got journals too. Christmas was the BOMB! We're so thankful that Grandma and Grandpa Goo could come over for Christmas. Thanks to all our friends and family for all that they have done for us.  Thanks again for everything. Thanks Dad for all of you've done for us.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I heard:
Warrior 2: This is the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!
Me: Why?
Warrior 2: because... we got GUITAR HERO! Yeah!

I Saw:
Warrior 3, wide eyed with a big toofless grin on his face when he finally got to open his Lego's on Christmas Day.

Family Pictures!

Pictures at the Visitor's Center

Merry Christmas to everyone!  A  humble and mellow Christmas this year.   I hope everyone enjoyed their time with each other like we did.  We are blessed to have Grandma and Grandpa spend a couple of days with us.  Spoiling us all.  =)  [Thank you Grandma and Grandpa.]   I was fortunate to talk to Mama and Papa for over an hour.  I'm grateful for technology which makes it possible to stay in touch with loved ones far away.    It's always good to talk to Mama and Papa, Glet's pamilya and my brother who is always on the road driving long distances across the country.  "MERRY CHRISTMAS, BRO!"  Be hopeful that you'll be able to spend the New Years with your family and not on the road.  Anyway...

The Gooey Goos have grown a lot.  The Warriors are still warriors!   They are quick to do their chores  so they can go out and play.   The Princess is still the princess.   She's busy as ever but is also taking a break from all her activities this Christmas break.   If you haven't heard... we are adding another Warrior to the family.

We have been blessed this year and are indeed grateful to our Heavenly Father.  We are grateful for the gospel in our lives.  We are thankful for our families  and  friends who support us.  We love you!

Here are some pictures that we've taken earlier today at the Laie Temple Grounds and the Visitors Center.    Enjoy some of the Goofy pictures of the Gooey Goos.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Dad, the King and Mom

 Me and the Warriors!

Goo Babes with Grandma and Grandpa!

The King trying to lift me up!

  I'm now safe and grounded.

Here is my Princess.  Growing to be a beautiful Young Woman.    I can't believe she is all grown up.   Yeah ya!  She's also taller than me.
Here are my Warriors!  I was asking them to give me a kiss.  Warrior 2 is all game but Warrior 1 looks grossed out.  EEEwWWWW!  Mom?!
"Come on!  Give mom a kiss!"  Warrior 3 smiles his toofless (two front teeth missing) smile.
Grandpa and the Goo Babes!
Another family picture!   The King hates taking pictures.  We hardly have pictures together so these are precious moments.  =)
Another one!  Keep snapping those pictures, Mom!
Grandma's turn with the Goo Babes.  Grandma was a good sport.  She came hobbling along with her sore foot.  Hope your footsie feels better.
Hey, there's me and my Warriors!  "Guapo" di ba?  =)

 Pamilya Ti Goo!

The Goo Babes!

Miss Philippines and Mrs.  Philippines!!!  Hellurh!  My roots!  Her roots! Mabuhay Ang Pilipinas!
It's so hard to take pictures with the King.  He is always acting goofy.  Grate job for taking the picture Warrior 2.  At least my head is still in the picture.
"Look Princess!  My tummy is getting big."
OMG!(oh my gulay)  DO you feel baby kicking?   Right there!
Here is another one of me and the King.
Here is my Warrior 2.  He is the only one with the curly hair. He is always trying to be  funny.  He is the emotional one.   Kolohe like the King.  He  adds unique spices into our lives.   Pleasant ones and not so pleasant ones.  That's Warrior 2.
The 3 Warriors!
It was too windy so I swapped places with the King!  He said, "Is that all I'm good for?  Wind blocker?"    I said, "Today, yes."
The King acting like a "BAKLA!"  "Stop it!  I don't want you acting like that!"
Me and the great Warriors!  They are getting so big  to help take care of me and the King.   They help lighten my load.  My "BASURA" warriors!  My heavy lifters!  My "PLATO" and "BASO" washers!  "KUTSARA"  and  "TINIDOR" sorters!  My "KOSINA" helpers.  My toilet scrubbers and "BANYO" cleaners.  They can now carry a load of laundry, stick it in the wash, hang them up and take 'em down...only to carry it back in the house for all to fold!  They don't like it sometimes but they have no choice.  It's what Warriors do!
My Princess.  The Big sister.  Bossy.  Smart.  Responsible.  Avid reader.  Talented.  Daddy's girl.  Responsible.  The mini me.   Great helper.  My right hand.  My Princess.

ULTRA SOUND RESULTS!

Princess and Warrior 1  comes home from school early.

Princess:  So,  are we having a boy or a girl?
Me:  pointing to the ultrasound printout.  Here are the legs and what is between the legs?
Princess:  Huh!?  Are  you serious?
Warrior 1:   (smiles big)  another one!

3 hours later the rest of the Warriors come home.  I pointed to the printout once again...
Warrior 2:  Didn't look interested.   It doesn't matter what we are having.
Warrior 3:  Big toofless smiles!
me:  What is between the legs?  Is that a  "tutoy" or a "peepit"?
Warrior 3:  that's a peehole!
me:  what is that?
Warrior 3:  a tutoy.

At first the Dr. couldn't tell what it was because the feet were in the crotch and from another angle the umbilical cord was blocking that area. Well, boy or girl..I am happy either way. As long as baby is healthy. =0

It's another BOY! =)

What should we name our baby now?     I don't know.

Busy Day

It was a busy day today.  I left work early  today.  Had a Dr.'s appointment.  Curled the Princess' hair for the Christmas Choir Concert.  Prepped for the Ward Party.  So, a big MAHALO to all who helped.  Arigats!  Salamat!  Thank You.   You know who you are.  We love you and appreciate you all.

THE FLOOD

I went to bed @ 9 pm.  I woke up at 12 and was RAINING!   Woke up again at 2 am and it was still raining.   Then 4 am came and the rain still sounded the same.  It never slowed down.  I was worried how Warrior 2 and 3 going to get to school without getting drenched.  The King was leaving early in the morning to take the van in for the 12,000 mile service.  The three of us  Gooeys  were going to catch a ride with Aunty Melissa.   What to do with all this rain?  At 5 am the King gets up,  I still lingered in bed for another half an hour.   Anyway...10 minutes to 6 we said our goodbyes..."drive safe"   blah lah blah...door shuts....engine starts.  Not too long after that  he is back in thehouse.  He turns the TV on for NEWS!  "I don't think I want to go in this weather."  Thank goodness...he didn't.  Not too long after that... Bishop "Runner"  came over and asked if he could borrow the King's cones.  Okay, they are blocking our street.  The water kept rising.  A lot of the men were outside to help those who needed help.  The gooeys and I practically stayed inside the whole time with the kiddies.  The only time we got out and wet was when we went next door to get the Keni kids.  That was it!   Nah, I take that back Warrior 1 and Warrior 2 arranged blocks in front of our door while the King fixed it and put "supot" and plank so water will not enter.  The King was out there and he also cooked for the gang out there.   We got some too.  It was a cross between baked beans and chili.  It was good.  The boys liked it too!

Anyway, the aloha spirit lives in Laie.  There were  a lot of people outside helping out the neighbors who were affected.    The boys played video games while the girls painted their nails.  After 2 hours of video games they played  cards, scene it and uno.

Anyway...here are some pictures of this day.

I don't have very good pictures but this was the worse flooding we've seen since we've been here.  The water came close to our doorstep.  We were lucky enough that we remained dry.  Always grateful to Heavenly Father  for our blessings.  The others who were not so lucky are in our prayers.

We were lucky...some had water in their house at their hip level.

QUAD SCREEN RESULTS

The purpose of the quad screen is to measure the chance that baby has one of three birth defects: neural tube defects, Down syndrome, and trisomy 18.

I just got a call from the Dr. and my Quad Screen test results came in NORMAL.   =)

Dr. said we are doing good.   Glad we passed that test.  Grateful to Heavenly Father.

Football Game!

While watching the U.H. football game against Cincinnati, Warrior 3 cracked me up.  During half time, they showed the drums and cymbals playing and this is what I heard.

Warrior 3:   Mom, that's the CONCUSSION!
Moih:   bwah ha ha ha ha!
(I then corrected him and told him it was the percussion instruments.)

Competition Time

The Goobabes had to get up early to go and support Princess at her state meet. We left at 6 am to be in Kauilua by 7 am. We get there and the place is not even open. Hello!

Here are some of her friends in the team.

Princess congratulating her fellow
teammate for taking first place.

It's been a long day. The warriors were good for the most part. They had their DS games to keep them occupied when they were not watching Princess perform but they got on each other's nerves towards the end. Frustrating. Not too fun sitting on hard bleachers for 6 hours.
The gymnast and her cheer squad.

We ended up snacking under this tree. The Warriors were climbing the bleachers under this big tree.

It's been one long day.

Gymnastics State Meet

Here is our Princess.  How did she do?  She would tell you herself..."uhm, okay."  She placed 3rd  in one event (the floor) and the rest are so, so.    One obvious boo-boo while doing the bars..is that she slipped and landed on  her "kilikili" (armpit).   At least she caught herself and didn't fall all the way down to the floor. That is all part of the experience.  Unfortunate things can happen.  I was so nervous for her but she told me she was not.  Anyway, glad  it's all over and we're glad that grandma and grandpa were there to support her as well.  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for coming!   The 3 Warriors were there, too.  They were occupied by their DS's.  There was one point were I took Warrior 2 and 3's  games away because they were acting up crying over silly things.  I wanted to spank them right there and then but I didn't.  UGH!!!  Yesm, I still spank if necessary.  Anyway, so here are some pictures of that day.
