no walk today

Yesterday was good.  Went for a walk with Tita 96762 and Plain Jane.  Added a total of 3 lbs on my ankles.  I was dripping with sweat after 1.5 hours.  Felt good.  Warrior 1 came along with us.  He too did good.  Took a short nap...still recovering from all the excitement, commotion, contention and depression from last week.

Didn't go walking with Aunty Raine @ 5 am this morning.  Didn't go walking with  Plain Jane after dropping the kids off to school.  I feel bad.  I give her a lot of credit.  She went with baby Nisi on her back and pushing the girls in the double stroller.

My house is a mess.  Haven't done the dishes.  My bed is not made because Warrior 3 crawled in with us early this morning.  He was still sleeping when I got up.    Still haven't put away the stuff from the food fest.  From the mess at camp and now from the food fest.  Never ending.  Too bad I don't have a maid.  I don't have a cook.  I don't have a lavandera.

I want to practice yoga but can't have peace and serenity in a cluttered house.  Breathe.  OM.

Jus Tingking

Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.--Marjorie Pay Hinckley from Small and Simple Things
I need to be kinder to my children.  Be more understanding toward my husband. I need to give them more love and attention.   Often times I get caught up with the day-to-day tasks that I fail to really listen and pay attention.

This picture tells how I feel.  Different stories. It can be calm and relaxing.  The feeling I get just being in the present moment.  Disconnected;  from all the cares in the world.  At peace; with myself and others.  Blissful and Serene.  It is so quiet I can hear the leaves on the ground and on the trees.  Joy and laughter;  fun childhood memories.  Content.   Sadness because we never got to swing in it together.  Nonviolence.   Empty.   Blue day.  Contention.   A  mountain 3 moment. You name it.   Life....it's  beautiful!

** I took a snapshot of this hammock at camp.

1st Day of School!

Well, woke up at 6:30 this morning.   That's late. I failed to help the King get his water cooler and lunch ready.  Bad Lady.    The Princess was up and ready...she was practicing her piano lessons. The 3 Warriors on the other hand were still fast asleep although they went to bed at 8:15 last night.    Had to wake them up!  Left the house at 7:20 as soon as Kenner  (Princess' piano teacher's son) came to the house.  He and the Princess have honors English, Science, Social and Guidance together.  No traffic.  Yey!
Got home and walked the boys to school. Warrior 2's teacher is Mrs. Tupola and Warrior 3 has a man titser (guru).   He looks local.... young, clean cut and seems nice.  Adda aritos diay kiday na.  Literal translation..."there is earing on eyebrow his"  Helurh!   What do you think about that Untol Mel?  I failed to bring my camera this morning so I'll take picture after school!
So, here is the picture!  Warrior 3 posing with Mr. Kiyono after school.  Notice  the titser's right brow?

Glet!  Guess what?  Mona Okimoto's daughter is in the same class as Warrior 3.    Mona is expecting a boy.  I think may-ka-uppat.

Eskuela!

Back to school!  Saved a lot by recycling the kids' stuff from last year.   Most are in good condition.  Just ripped the few pages off their old composition books.  Works for me.  The kids--Warrior 2 and 3 don't seem to mind.  They know money is hard to come by.  Daddy has to work really hard.

Can't Sleep

Fell asleep after folding the laundry. Woke up at 8.  Decided to write.   It's 3 in the morning and very wide awake.  What happened the past week.

SUNDAY  7/20
Slept in until 10:30 am.  Got my lesson prepared.  Didn't finish the handouts.  Went to church.  came home  King hungry for his stew.   But oooppppppppsssssss.  NO STEW!  Short storymade  shorter.  Silent Treatment [S.T.].

MONDAY 7/21
S.T.  Recover from camp!  No walk.  Laundry.  Library paid overdue books which I failed to renew because we were at camp.  $11 dues.  Took Warrior 1 and Princess to have their  school ID  taken.

TUESDAY 7/22
Yoga.  Silence broken.  yey!

WEDNESDAY 7/23
Walk at the beach with Aunty Raine and Princess.  Water was rough.   Grama/Grampa surprise!

THURSDAY 7/24
The King took the car in to get serviced.  He left at 6 am.  Came back at 9 i think.  Defrosted the freezer.   Went to Mililani got there after 1.  The King helped Dad and Uncle connect the heater.  Went shopping for food.  Had to call Mavis  cancel class  unable to get back for 6pm yoga class.   Ate at zippys...had a Boca Burger for the first time.  Tasted really good.  The King is all in pain.

FRIDAY 7/25
The king went to work.  Baked some goodies.  Mango bread, brownies, peanut butter bars, chocolate chip bars, banana bread and that's all.  Shopped for the last minute stuff we need for the food fest.   Called the king... "I no mo moneh.  I need your cahd."    Met him at the mall parking lot.  Pick up Generator, foam containers which we got at a Restaurant Supplier in town for the Food Fest and what ever stuff on the list.  Got home at 5...  King was already home.   We pulled on an all nighter.    {i'm getting sleepy..i'll continue later}

SATURDAY  7/26
laters--okay i'm back it is now tuesday 7/29/08 @ 1:30 in the morning  typing in the dark.
Parade!  Food Fest!  crazy morning!  didn't sleep at all..well i take that back.  I  took a nap from 8am to 8:25 am.  Took a hot shower and so i'm awake again.  Food fest is a lot of work.  A lot of stress. A lot of barking. Some tension here.  But a lot of fun!  Just had to make sure that our hot foods stayed hot and cold foods cold.  We sold some baked goods. Mushroom and meat ballssssss, BBQ chicken korean style  with furikake on the rice and the King's renowned chili and rice.  The kids' favorite!  FREE ICEE!!!!  Just bring 4MT bottles and cans!  The King is so clever to have thought of this one.  Some kids were really into it that they kept coming back with empty recyclables in their arms.

It was good.  We got to see friends da Kuriharas from Utah, the Parkers from town  and old  classmates and friends from BYUH days.

Too bad we didn't even take one picture  to remind us of all our hard work this day.  Thanks to Mom and Dad, to Aunty Wanda and Uncle Al for coming and helping us.  The best part (not!) was when I had to drive the King's truck.   I didn't want to but i was obedient.  You see we brought our upright freezer to store our icee and our mushroom gravy.  Anyway,  had to take it back home so the King put the freezer on one of those wheeled things that help you drag stuff.   Well, I drove like less than 10 m/h and  the King  sat in the back  holding  on to this wheeled thing with the freezer  and just one bungee cord holding it in place while Warrior 1 was doing his share of dragging a cooler.  Helurh!  Not to mention how much noise this wheeled thing produced!  It was almost 11 o'clock ...man it felt like we were having our own 3 vehicle parade.    Oh, and I get yelled at... "slow down!"  "Come on!"  "What's going on, Lady?"  "GO!"   "Stay away from the dirt!"  As we get to Aunty Emma's house the dogs start barking and running towards the truck.  Poor Warrior 1 ...mean dogs scare him.

Hey, that was not easy driving around that little circle at byu and in front of the temple.    Glad it's over.

Mountain 3 Moment

Didn't go to church today.  Drove to town, dragged Princess along with me.  I had to return a generator we rented for the food fest.  After Ward Camp and the Laie Day Food Fest, my body is beat.   Not being able to think  (poor excuse some of you may say),  I can't answer simple questions.  I pause for a long time.  Think for a long time.  I don't know what to say which makes others upset.  Question is asked again and again.   Still don't know what to say I start to get all flustered which makes the situation worse.  Start saying other things which has nothing to do which the question asked.  Kids hear what's happening.  I'm sick and tired of  being a dum-E.  I need to decompress.  I'm going to blow!  I run to the kitchen (I know, that's not very far) I threw a big pot on the floor made a dent at the bottom.   I'm not perfect.  Neighbors probably heard me.  Not good.   Blue day.  Just another mountain 3 momemt.    That's all.

Walk at the Beach

After our walk at the beach...got the king's lunch ready.  Took a nap on the couch for an hour. Slept on my arms (had to keep them warm since i was cold). Woke up with numb fingers and the inside of my forearm had an imprint of one of my fingers and the fingernail. helurh.
The king left later for work today, he got his work order faxed from the office instead.  As he was walking out the door a rusty orange car pulls behind the van...and what a surprise...  it's Grama and Grampa!  They are here for the weekend.  BYUH/CCH Alumni Reunion and the 50th Anniversary for Laie Day.  Here to help us with the Food Fest as well.

Passion Fruit

A couple of people gave us a bunch of these fruits! I can't remember who gave these particular ones but I know Tita 96762 gave us some and she taught me how to eat 'em. Make juice! =0 Princess likes to eat them buy cutting them in half and sprinkling sugar on top. They are very delicious. Tart but good! Just add sugar and you have juice! No added preservatives. Just pure goodness except for the "white" granulated sugar. Then again I guess that is still better than the sucrose, fructose, glucose, lactose, galactose and other "toses" found in the fruit drinks sold at the store! Anyway, ladies and gents...I'd like to present to you Lilikoi: Passiflora edulis var. flavicarpa or Passion fruit!

"The seeds look like little tadpoles", says Warrior 3 as we made juice out of these fruits.

Have Not Recovered

Well, we survived camp!  I'm caught up with the laundry.  Washed all the sleeping bags and put all the camping stuff away.  One week of camp is too long!  Well, that's just my opinion.  It didn't feel like a vacation.  It was a lot of work.  The King  did a lot, setting up the water pipes, building the  shower, putting up the big screen anchored between two trees and lights.   Thanks to Bro. Hammond, the Keni Clan, the Fakatava Clan and everyone in the activities committee.
I didn't keep a daily log of what happened.  I'm going to attempt to try to dig deep in the crevices of my brain what happened the week of camp.  Wish me Luck and for those of you who were there...you can add on.

7/14 Lunes
Woke up bright and early to take the EZ corner down.  By 6am we were at the campsite (Cricket Field) setting up.  Unload, set up and back home to grab more stuff.  Set up all day.  Fire Department came to hose hot campers in the middle of the field.  yey!  Thank You to the Hammonds for making this possible!  To Uncle Eric Hammond and his crew, much majellos. It cooled us off!  When R you coming back to yoga?
Finished building the shower at around 5pm, King started to build the slip and slip. I mean slip- n- slide.  Ran to Foodland to  get stuff for dinner.  Came back kids are slipping and sliding.   We ate good!  We had pasta alfredo with spinach, shrimp and tomato.  Fried noodles, yummy greens with craisins and other stuff in it, had brownies and banana cream pie.   Camping food mmmmmm very Delish.  Had FHE  with the Keni and Fakatava Clans.  We the GOOeys were in charge of the lesson.  All have been  busy all day so we started super late. Just shared a thought from my YW lesson on Sunday "OBEDIENCE is the first law of Heaven." If we obey parents, teachers, the law, the commandments, rules and etc....we can be happy, we can have peace, have order, we won't get in trouble and all that wonderful stuff.  After dinner, kids played softball until dark like almost 11 (with lights of course).  Went home, took shower and came back ....I was beat and crashed.

7/15 Martes
Devotional.  Keni Ohana were in charge. Forgot the songs we sang.  “Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Til your good is better and your better is best.”  Had breakfast. We hiked.   Tita 96762 led the way.   Slip and slide again,  hang out in the Fktv's kiddie pool.   Left at 5:30 to  get ready for Yoga class.  Ice  Breaker games by the Tovey family in the evening, smores and movie under the moon.  A burst of showers here and there.   The kids stayed up late playing cards.

7/16 Merkules
Devotional..the Nortons were in charge.  I missed  it.  I ran home to get stuff.  Made pinatas.  Scavenger hunt and games by the Bean Family.  Broke a different pinata.   Water games by Aunty Rose and her gang.

Down time.  Had 2 unsupervised children come to the camp site.    (this was their 2nd time)  This one 12 or 13 year old boy got in the kiddie pool (The pool was right in front of the Gooey and Keni Tent.) with the little kids.  Plain Jane got her girls out and only he and Warrior 3 was left playing.  I was in the kitchen making  quesadillas then I hear the KING yell from the top of his lungs telling someone to "GET OUT! GET OUT!  NOW!"  In my head "What is going on?".  I was shocked!  A little embarrassed that the King was yelling ...the whole camp  probably heard.  What are these people thinking and so forth.  So at  first I was like CHILL, Hon!   I know you are stressed and under pressure...fireside is tonight  you want things to be perfect...blah blah blah.    To make the story short...this boy sat on Warrior 3 and was pinning his head down under the water.  OMGosh.    What if the King hadn't been there in front of our tent fixing the piano pedal?  Would any of us ladies caught that?  That was scary.  Really scary.  Remember.... to  always watch our children!  Family, friends and neighbor look after each other. Innocent play can end up hurting or even killing someone.

Going back....to  camp stuff...Set up chairs, sound, light, piano and mic.  Beautiful backdrop for Musical Fireside tonight.  Chopped and prepped the ingredients for the King's Chili. Talked stories with Plain Jane, Kristen Tuifua and  Erin Gnat as we chopped gimagous sausages, hot dawgs, bacon, celery and onions!  (onoliscios! the winnah!) Some boys were sore from being in their wet shorts all day.   Funny Kodak moment, isn't it Tita 96762.   Movie night.   Home Teachers (church movie) and  Enchanted.   Late night again for the kiddies.

7/17 Huwebes
Square Foot Gardening, 10 x 10 food storage, games and lunch by R. S. Kids played volleyball had to make them stop to go and eat lunch.   Set up chairs.   We had Dr. Shlachter come and brought his donkey and his horse for a FREE ride.   The kids loved that.  Well, not all.  You see...some of my boys Warrior 2 and Warrior 3 were  bored and played with the computer instead.  (Daddy's computer).   Warrior 2 was playing with the built in camera distorting his face with friend Darnel and Warriors 1 and 3.   I was  late for Yoga.  Carnival in the evening.  Games--mingle mingle and bonkers.  Bounce house.   Movie night.    I forgot what movie.

7/18 Biyernes
Pancakes and sausages for breakfast!  Hot cocoa and bread. Ate together with the Fktvs, the Keni's and the Gnats.  The Keni Clan broke camp early.  Finished and filled the pinata's. The ones that withstood the rain and wind.  Made Musubis for lunch.   The King received a phone call.  His iPhone is in!  He is smiling from ear to ear.

Ward dinner this evening.  The King made a big spot of stew.    Chopped meat and vegies for the stew.  Butchered watermelons from the Keni's and Fktv's. Started an hour later.  Showed slide show of the week's activities.  A few shared their talents this evening.  After dinner,  Bro. Webber who teaches Physics at BYU-H brought and set up his big telescope and we were very fortunate to see Jupiter.  Uh-huh.  I saw it!  It had 2 lines and 4 moons.  Two on each side.  And the Earth's moon has craters!  For real!  Saw it! Only at camp Cricket Field!  =)  Took a break...chit-chatted with Tita 96762.....she helped me clean and put the food away.  Movie being shown....Iron Giant. (There should have been several people assigned for clean up committee).  The children were beat.  Fell asleep early.

7/19 Sabado
I slept in until 7:30. NO breakfast.  We broke camp alright.   Finally made it home at 12 noon.  The house full of mess.  Blankets, sleeping bags, pillows piled high in the living room.   Junk all over!  All this work for a week of fun and excitement.    Took shower.  Had a quick bite at McDonalds.    headed to town returned generator which was rented...went to Blaisdell hoping to see the storm troopers and have their pictures taken..no luck.  We were too late.  Drove to Kahuku HongWanJi Temple....Bon Dance.  Ate fried saimin, BBQ chicken and  watch them people dance in a circle.  We finally had the guts to join them after a few coaxing from the King.  It was pretty fun.  Monkey see monkey do until you get it right.    My first time and the Gooey babes very first Bon Dance experience.  The king joined us at the very last song.    How did he know it was the last song?  He speaks and understands "Nihongo."  Served his mission in Japan for two years.  Went home @ 10:30.   What a week!

Hello!

Hello.  Hello, how do you do?
 iClean.  iCook.  iEat.
  iWash.  iPlay.   iSleep
iGet up.  iGo.  iWait in line for
the iTelefono

The iPhones came out today!  We left the house at 6:30am, got there an hour later and can you believe that I actually stood in line.  I was the King's proxy while he went to work.  The line wasn't that bad.  I was only there for 3.5 hours.  I just had to call him when I was getting close to the door.  By the time we reached the door they were out of the 16 gigabyte.  The King just ordered one which should get here in 7 days.  King's face tells me,  "iHappy!"  Cool phone though.  iThink iWant one.... nah.  later.  Notice iSaid iWant not iNeed.    Since it is not a need there is no need  to get one.

The Gooey Babes  were patient.  Lucky thing Princess,  brought movies and they watched in the car.  You are probably thinking...how desperate and irresponsible  that I leave them  in the car just to get a hold of an iPhone,  ya?   Don't worry, they were close by.

Good Morning Beach!

Good morning! King Honeybuns just left the house.  Woke up 10 to 5 this morning.  Drove to  Aunty Raine's house and he was already warming up walking up and down her street.  Anyway, walked to the temple up and down the parking lot.  Aunty likes the incline.    Walked to the beach and boy did we feel our entire lower body .

Anyway, hope to have a good day today with my GOOey kids. All I want for them is to get along and enjoy each other's company.  We are still working on that. After 5 weeks of summer  you'd expect some improvement but hellurh every day someone is getting on somebody's nerves.  "mom!  he is looking at me!"  "Mom!  so and so is not sharing."  'Mom!  She hit me!"  "He is not helping!"  "Mom! He is stuffing his face!"  My gulay!   In my mind "peace and serenity."  In reality, stress and contention.   Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!  Well, it's peaceful right now.  They are still in Lalaland.    Relax and surrender.  Total silence.  I can hear the birds chirping outside. The neighbor's dryer is going.  The rice cooker lid is vibrating.  The ceiling fan is humming.  The Sun's light is sunshine!  The rice cooker just went "ching!"
Well, laters then.

Chipped polish

What a waste!   Hung my laundry and then I get back in..what do I see?  Noticed the nail polish chipped away.  ugh!  Lose Money!  It didn't even last a week!   Warrior 2 over here tells me to talk about how much it cost now and then laughs and walks away.   I think I just better stick to the expert when dealing with my fingernails.  I  just do it myself and save di money.
That's okay.  I'll just do it over.  Por Pree.  Just the way I like it.

Startled and Freaked Out!

My alarm woke me up  (startled and  freaked me out because someone turned up the volume of my alarm clock to soooooper loudness)at 4:40 am this morning.   Helurh!  Anyway, what a start!  Went walking with Aunty Raine at 5 this morning.  It was still too dark  out so I drove there.  I know it's just a couple of blocks from my origin but I'm a lady who is afraid to walk alone in the dark and she was already waiting outside her house.  Anyway,  it's been good for both of us.  It's a win-win.   If it weren't for her...I would still be in bed.  Thanks to her, I'm getting some form of exercise.

Speaking of exercise,  Saturday morning woke up when King was getting ready for work  (6:15 am) {in my head..."Shoots!  I didn't get up at 5 to walk with Aunty Raine again!   She's going to kill me!"} after helping the King get his lunch, munchies, water cooler and extra set of clothes ready,  I woke Princess up to go walking with me.  After a block...we decide to check if Aunty Raine was up.  Got to her house and no lights were on..so I just said never mind.  But the Princess insisted that we go to her front door and knock.  There were no lights on....let's go.  Then I decided to be a peeping mom.. sure enough tv was on ...so I decided to knock faintly not wanting to wake everybody up at her house.  Anyway, she opens the door in her lavalava and was surprised/happy to see us, runs in the room to get changed.

Meanwhile, a little friend comes to meet us in front of the door.  Diamond (her little dog) layed on her back with her front  legs  curled and the hind legs splayed out begging to be rubbed.  She was so cute!     Anyway,  walked to BYUH met up with Pres. Shumway walking as well...we said hellows...he and Aunty Raine started  chatting about their children as we were going up and down the parking lot....then Aunty Raine politely said to Pres. Shumway that we were going a separate route pointing to the Big Circle.   As we made our way around campus...we noticed Aunty Z's Volvo..."hey!  let's go check out Aunty Z's Class!  (it's a step and stability ball class).  Shoots!  we went...Scared the heck out of her as we greeted her with a loud "CheeeeeeHooooooooo!"  Anyway, had a great workout.  My abs and my anterior deltoids still hurt.  It shows I need to attend other classes to wake up stagnant muscles.

I had watermelon and mangoes for breakfast.  Fruits for breakfast.  Yum!  Doing good until an hour later....  I ate the last two squares of brownies.  It tasted so GOOd and GOOeyliscios.   What am I doing to myself?   Exercise is being cancelled out by all the JUNK  i stuff my face with.  I am out control!  Help!

After lunch, went to the library.  The Gooey Babes got their incentives for reading their books. Exchanged  Princess' PE shorts to another  PE shirt.  Went to BYUH game room, played some pool, ping pong and air hockey.   Headed to the bookstore and read some books with Warrior 3.   The 3 older ones were fooling around with the MacBook Pro on display  making GOOfy faces then laughing at  whoever made the GOOfiest and funkiest face.  Get this the workers were right behind the computers and no shame man they just giggled away.

Got our nails done!

Glet!  Ma! Check it out!  Finally got the guts to get my nails done.  Both ima and saka (hands and feet)  It was nice to get someone else to do my nails. I did deserve to get a little bit of pampering.  Nag-ngina (super expensive) balet man!  ho!  Jen and I went to get it done over here at the shopping center.  This polish better last a long time for the money we spent!   Anyway, I probably will not do that again anytime soon.  I'm still comparing this price to the $2  mani/pedi dita Pilipinas.

Aunty Jenn, hope you feel better.

Happy 4th of July!

Well, what a day!  Long day!  Attended a baptism at 7 am.  The bishop who was to conduct and preside this whole thing forgot about it as he was doing yard work...=) After the baptism, they had breakfast for us. Cocoa rice, fried rice, spam, mini sausage, eggs, buenolus, pumpkin bread, chilli and cornbread.   I was stuffed.

Made more GOOdies for the KCC's fundraiser at Turtle Bay.  Most of our stuff sold.  It was quite dead when it started at 2 pm.  Here are some goodies we made.   {10 mini loaves of banana bread, 15 mini loaves of pumpkin bread, 10 mini loaves of apple bread, brownies,  Neiman Marcus chocolate chip cookies (which consists of ground oatmeal, flour, sugar, butter,  grated dark chocolate, chocolate chips and chopped almonds)}.  These cookies are to die for.  They were sold out.  Then we also made blondies (chocolate chip cookie bars), rice krispy treats with red white and blue sprinkles.  Thanks Aunty Jenn for helping us make cookie bars and rice krispies.

Saw the fireworks at dark.  Bootiful!  Cleaned up! The King, Uncle Lee and the warriors helped load the stuff at Aunty Lou's truck and D's truck.  The King tried to stuff a big hunk of ice block (scraps from the shave ice booth) down my back and then my pants.  Hellurh!

When we got home, we had brownies and milk, Doritos (corn chips) and then watched the boys  pop fireworks.  The boys were anxious about popping those fireworks since this morning.  They were careful not to pop the ones that made lots of noise.  But became unlucky a few times when they lit one that made lots of noise.  Sorry neighbors for making noise late in the evening.    oh yeah!  Warrior 3 took a picture of this parrot at Turtle Bay with the King's big camera.

Technology is wonderful!

It's amazing how people can be so far and yet so close.  My brother in law just emailed me a picture of  their baby Sam-wel sucking his thumb and was able to see pictures of their new home. Not only that... I just received a hellow from "Aunty Al"  because she happened to be surfing  a friends blog and from there she caught a wave and saw that we the GOOEY GOOS were also blogging.    So, "Aunty Al" how are you?  Thanks for stopping by and dropping us a line.

Tonikaku (toniway-anyway-highway)...I'm just da crazy lady talking to herself right now.

Why blog?  For me,  blogging is my own space.  I say what?  A space to just let go....feelings out of the moment.  Feelings of joy, contention, stress and sadness. A space for me to  learn from the past and  contemplate about the future.  Isn't that amazing!  We are just so blessed  with all these technological inventions nowadays.  News, old and new are far more accessible than before.  You think?  helurh!

Kids!  My Gooey Kids  (no not baby goats--children) although I nag and complain ....You  are a big help.   You can do the dishes, hang clothes (you see...we have a gigantic solar dryer), fold clothes, clean house, scrub toilets, take the basura (garbahj") out.  You whine and grumble but you know you have to do it!  We all have jobs to do so just do it!  Every little bit helps .

Baked 12 loaves of bread yesterday.
Making these today.  Got to get ready for the 4th of July Fundraiser for Princess' choir at Turtle Bay.
10 mini loaves of banana bread
10 dozen cookies
1/2 sheet of brownies
1/2 sheet of blondies

Well, gotta go.

Namaste'

Got a present in the mail from the Genets yesterday c/o Aunty Raine.  It was a book called 'What a Friend We Have in Jesus'  by Cheiko N. Okazaki.  They were volunteers at BYUH and attended my yoga class on T/TH.  They were such an amazing couple.  In their note that came with the book, I was surprised to see that this is how they felt attending the class.  They  are so sweet.

Dear 'yogamama':

Mahalo!  With much love.

Going to  your wonderful yoga class is the same as coming to Church in new and different places anywhere in the world.  Warm. Welcoming.  Familiar.  Calm.  Like coming home.  Safe and happy.  Fun.  A consistent opportunity for growth and renewal.  Uplifting.  Inspiring.

We are so grateful for your skill, talents and personality; for the good time we shared and the great things we learned.  You were rest,  rejuvenation, and energy after work.  A second wind.  I wish we could have ended every day with you and yoga.

May blessings of health, energy, accomplishment, and peace fill your life forever.  Thank you for a terrific class and a sweet Hawaii memory.  Until we meet again.

Namaste.
