Warrior 2 is finally getting his tonsils and 1/2 if not most of his adenoids removed. Why is he getting them removed? They are huge! They touch each other. It makes Warrior 2 snore. He speaks through his nose. He always had enlarged tonsils since he was little but the ENT we saw when he was younger... said not to worry. Yes, we saw this ENT twice (he was an older man--ready to retire) 1st when Warrior 2 was 3 and then a couple years later when he was 5. Still, this ENT didn't see the need to have them removed.
So, 7 years later...during one of the Gooey Goos routine check up, I asked Dr. Douglas Sutherland to have another look at Warrior 2's tonsils. He agreed that they are HUmangous! He referred us to another ENT and long story short.. Warrior 2 is going through tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.
Today is the day. His ENT is Dr. Lenhanh Pham Tran. We went to Kapiolani Hospital. I had with me Warrior 4 and Little K. They were so good. For lunch we went to the cafe. Warrior 4 was so hungry he was going a little nuts. Anyway, not much to do at the hospital but walk around.
Here are some pictures before the operation.
All smiles!
He doesn't like taking pictures. arrrrrrrgh!

Finally free from his little umbrella stroller.
Got the IV in. Did it hurt?
All smiles until the end.
We didn't leave the hospital until 3PM. It was another long day.
