Learning to coupon

Got these at Walgreens!  In the paper, the sale price listed was $5.99 but in the store they were only $4.99 each - $4 Q (coupon) =$0.99 + tax = $1.23 OOP (out of pocket).  I did this transaction 6x = $7.38
Then I got $6.00  back in RR (register rewards).  So, it's like paying just $1.38 for all these spinbrushes.

Mom took us to the commissary and got these toothpaste for $2.39 a piece.  Had coupons for $1/1.  We basically got them for $2.78. That's $1.38 each for a tube of toothpaste.

spinbrushes       $1.38
toothpaste         $2.78

TOTAL              $4.16

NOt pau!  I'll be getting a $10 rebate for buying these products.  I made money!  Not bad for being a novice couponer!

My Sister's Family

Birthday Shoutout!

Happy birthday to the man, the KING of the castle, padre de pamilya, father of the Gooeygoo Babes and honey buns to YogaMama!

You are a year older and wiser. Can you believe it? You are one old futt! You deal with aches and pains everyday and yet you still suck it up and go on with your day. So, what's the "motto" with you? Nothing you say. No pain, no gain. That's your motto. I hope and wish for you to be whole and pain free. But you have Aleve and all kinds of "vitamins" to help you ease your pains temporarily.

Go see the doctor I tell you but why go and pay someone to tell you what you already know?

Anyway....
Thanks for all that you do to support our family.

What would you like for your birthday? I can't give you the "rock" again because I can't find it. :). we love you! I love you because you "ROCK!"

Finally husked

I have been craving coconuts since last month.  The 4th Wednesday in August, I was able to score some from the FKTV family.  The King finally husked the coconuts on Tuesday evening while I was in Yoga.  Yes, the King is super busy that it took him all this long to husk these babies up.  (although it only takes him a few seconds to husk one up).  Surprised and happy to see the husked coconuts, I got the cleavers and attacked them right away.  Yes, I got my healthy dose of coconut juice...lots of natural electrolytes.   yey!  for husked coconuts!

The rainbow appeared

After the rain...

It poured as we were walking Warrior 3 to school. Warrior 4 and I never made it to school because it poured.

Goo' Morning

First things first.  Zumba at 5 am. Breakfast with Warrior 4.  Dishes, laundry, sweep and mop the floor.
(see full image)

Play with Manti and Auntie Joy.  Auntie Joy took pictures of Warrior 4.  Lunch. Nap.  Pick up from cheer practice and drop off Princess to piano.  Make dinner.  It's Nilagang Baka. (beef stew pinoy style no tomato sauce).  Drop off Warrior 1 and Princess to cheer fest practice and then straight to yoga.  Eat dinner, pick up Warrior 1 and Princess, say family prayer and put Warrior 4 to sleep.

Bottle. Ball. Bat.

After Warrior 4 was all done being in the water...I found him playing T-ball with Koa.  The King showed him how to use that empty Gatorade bottle  as a tee.

Labor Day!

THE KIDS

THE ADULTS

JUMPING ADULTS

THE WHOLE GANG

We had an awesome day today with some college friends and a couple of King's cousins.  We spent the day at Kakela Beach.  Lots of food, beach, sun and sand.  =)  Got to see families we don't normally see.  It was good to  see our children mingling with each other.

Warrior 4 is now asleep.  He is beat from having too much fun.  It was a good and relaxing day.  Happy Labor Day.

Seen and Heard

All dressed and ready to go to church.  Princess looking at my behind.  This is what she says...
Princess:  Mom,  you look like a pear.  You are wide down there.  (as she points at my hips and butt.)
Me:  I know...mommy needs to exercise and eat less.
i needed a reality check ....so I got one this afternoon.
exercise and eat healthy.

Peaceful

After working in the yard... this is how it ends. Sun is going down down down.

Kamote

Wow!  It's been over a year since we moved.  I still don't have a garden.  The King has plans for the yard.  He killed the grass while we were gone on our trip.  I can't plant anything on the ground just yet.

Anyway, today I buried some compost in the hard and sandy dirt.  I ended up scraping the dried up, dead grass and weeds.  Then I started tending to my potted plants which I've neglected for some time now.  Anyway, in a tiny (gallon sized) pot was a sweet potato plant.  I pulled it out of the pot and found these little fat kamote roots.

Finding these  sweet potatoes in a tiny pot is motivating me to plant or start my garden in containers.  So, hopefully I'll be able to get some top soil and start soon.

Angry birds!

Here are the birds Warrior 3 was trying to draw.

Future Artist. Architect?

here is a red one.
Here is the green one.
here is Warrior 4 posing with brother's drawing.
Warrior 3 loves to draw. I think he has a talent. He did this just by looking at his slippers. He did not trace it whatsoever. Pretty good ah! What do you think? Future architect? (since he also love to build things.  he still loves creating things with his legos.)

Double rainbow

Beautiful drive to Mililani last night. I didn't drive, the King did. Is that why it's beautiful?

Blessed

Just jotting down how blessed we are. I know we don't have a lot of money. Right now I don't have a steady babysitting "job".   (Little K started preschool this year.) Pennies are being stretched.   The pantry and the freezer have never looked so empty.  I could sense the King's "worry" look even though he tries to hide it well.

Anyway, we went up to Mililani last night to have FHE with Gramma and Grampa at Auntie Wanda Naumu's home.  We  try to go every Sunday, but because the King and I had to go to a meeting/fireside we went last night.   (The meeting was for the high council man and their wives...  the KING played the organ= i lob it when he plays.  He is such a teddy bear.  When he is behind the piano or organ he melts my heart.  He is not all gruff and tough.)  We brought dinner.  (Beef and mushroom Dijon, rice and lots of rolls.)  Anyway.. it was a beautiful drive up there.  We saw a double rainbow.  I haven't seen double rainbows since I left Guam.  But yesterday we saw one by the Pineapple plantation.

Alright, get to the blessings already.  Though the pantry is looking empty we are not starving, there is always  food coming from somewhere and/or someone.   Our almost empty gas tank was filled up yesterday by Gramma Goo.   You see, we are all Goo'.  HE sure is looking out for us.    I acknowledge that He has his hands in all things.  We have a lot to be grateful for.  We are sure blessed.

Sleepy?

Warrior 4 must have been hot. He grabbed the manatee and decided to sleep on the bare floor. Much cooler I guess.

Moon bow copy cat

I just want to point out that this is similar to the moon bow we saw driving through this same area one evening. It looked like a bubble. Background of course was much darker.

CTR 5 and CTR 6

I was called in to sub one class this morning but then I ended up combining with another class.  Aren't they adorable?

Here they are being engaged and I had them draw or write what they learned about the temple.

Here are the CTR 5 minus little Eva who fell asleep.

Here is the complete  CTR 5 with little Eva sitting in the middle with her legs crossed.  Looks like she is just meditating.  =)

Here we have the CTR 6 minus little Layton.
They are so cute and honest.  Ask them a question and they'll tell you their whole life story.

2012 Youth Theme

The youth in our stake is being filmed today to take part in the 2012 Youth Theme. Pretty awesome!

Junior Class Social

I thought I'd blog about the typical day when the King is asked a favor.  Here are some pictures of the process.  This was for Warrior 1's Junior class social that took place yesterday.
