CHIRO--3rd Adjustment

The king is going to see the Chiro 2x a week since his range of motion has increased from the initial visit.  Yehey!

Warrior 2's Pack Meeting
He received several awards this evening.  I have no pictures because I forgot to bring the camera.  Played a game --throwing frisbee at several targets.  The kids formed a balloon orchestra as we sang "You are my Sunshine."   We had s'mores in back of Bishop's house.
Well, here are the pictures of Warrior 2's awards.  It would've looked better if the Warrior himself was in the picture.

CHIRO--2nd Adjustment

Well, the King and I went to the CHIRO again yesterday (Tuesday 8-26-08).  It was his 2nd adjustment.  After his second adjustment he was told to come back for his third one for the week. (Thursday 8-28-08).  The King is looking better.  He is able to get up without grumbling and moaning.  He was actually standing in front of the stove making us dinner instead of laying on the floor suffering. =)  Yippe!  It's good to see some progress.

CHIRO--1st Adjustment

The Chiro called me back  Saturday afternoon and was able to accommodate the King today.  After our initial visit on Thursday (8-21-08), the Chiro wanted to see the King again to let him know what recommendations are regarding treatment and how often he needs to get adjusted per week and blah blah depending on the tests.

So, we went to the Chiro again this morning. The Chiro said that the King's L5 is really bad. He has an ANTERIOR LISTHESIS (in the LUMBAR region).   In other words, the bone is pushed forward.  The Chiro was able to do some adjustments to the King. He was on three different tables. 1st table his spine was being massaged. Creating space between each vertebrae...allowing synovial fluid to flow. The Chiro was telling the King that "our body creates its own WD-40. Ya, it's called the synovial fluid." (Hey, I learned that in YOGA!) I hope that the King's back can get back to normal.   Yey! He finally got adjusted.  The King was so cute as he was laying on the tables.  That 1st table,  Spinalator was tickling his turtles.    It was making him smile despite all his pains! (That Spinalator looks fun.  I want to try it, too!) The 2nd table, he was in a prone position (superman pose without the skin tight suit) and it involved lowering/raising the legs  and lateral flexion to the right and left.  Again the lateral flexion was tickling the King's turtle. I saw that smile.

Poor King have been tolerating this pain for so long.    He works so hard to provide for us and neglects his well being.  Hellurh!  What is it with men and doctors?  Anyway, 2nd adjustment tomorrow at 9:30 am.  I will be going to work in the afternoon.

I called Mama and Papa after work today just to let go of toxins in my system.  That was rejuvenating.  Thanks to OTWC  it's free to call GUAM.

Family Home Evening
Well, Plain Jayne gave a wonderful lesson at FHE.   Acronym STAD and the WANT MONSTER. Sang the song, "Dare to do Right".
Played "THUMPER"
S represents STOP!  Before you act, stop.  Don't do it yet.  Just pause long enough to do the other steps.
T represents THINK!  Think ahead to the consequence.  Ask yourself, what will it be?
A represents ASK!  Ask yourself if the consequence will be worth it.
D represents DO!  After thinking and asking, do the right thing.  This step is very important.  This will decide who is in control, the want MONSTER or YOU.

(My stomach doesn't feel good.  I think I ate too much at FHE...is this heartburn? Wait I just took my calcium supplement..is that what's giving me this churning feeling in my belly and up my esophagus?  Hold on I think I'm going to barf!)

Okay, I'm back!  eeew.  That was gross.  It's been a while since I've upchucked  something to that extent.  NO!  I'm not pregnant!  There went my dessert down the sewer.  Fruit Trifle, vanilla ice cream and brownies.  yum! Thanks to Tita 96762 and Plain Jayne who beautifully created those master pieces.

The King's X-RAY

Took the King to the Chiropractor today.  Filled out papers (the king hated that), took x-rays which took an hour.  He said he'll explain  he X-RAY later in the afternoon.  The king was asked to stand up, walk, bend forward, sideways, blah blah.  Chiro too busy in the morning.  Tells us to come back in the afternoon. Took the King home and  I went to work for 3 hours.

At 3pm went back to the Chiro.  Showed us the X-RAY.  One vertebrae on the lumbar region is partially dislocated.  LOOKS really bad!  How can he not feel that?  Well, the King felt it but didn't do anything about it.  WHY?  All these years I thought it was muscle tightness and soreness from doing manual labor (pulling of cables, crawling under houses, climbing and stuff).  I was so wrong!  Here I was thinking I was doing him a favor by massaging him but in fact I was not.   All those years of massaging and the kids and moi standing, sometimes bouncing on his back  added to the problem.  It made the problem worse.   Sleeping on his belly another red flag.  HELOOW!  WHAT ELSE went WRONG?  That EXPLAINS his snappy-ALA-crab moods.   Because he is SOOPER uncomfortable and in so much pain.  Don't take it personally if he snapped or snaps at you.  =)

How can I relate?  Think of an excruciating toothache or better yet LABOR PAINS going 24/7.  Not to mention his pain had been going on for YEEEEEEEAAAAAARRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSS!   I don't understand how he was able to ignore this pain for that long?  Too much tolerance?  Too stubborn to listen?  You tell me.  PAIN is one of our body's way of communicating to us "something is wrong".  I guess now, his body is SCREAMING that he is surrendering.

Anyway,  the Chiro  kept asking the King if he was ever in an accident or any kind of trauma and what not but hell-ow the King just laughs and says no.  In my head...I was like "didn't you say you fell through someones roof while working?  Didn't you prevent that long ladder that was against the pole from falling in the middle of Kamehameha Hwy?"

The King has been in a lot of pain.  It hurts to stand for a long time (a long time=5, 10, 15 minutes, who knows.  IDK),  it hurts to get out of bed,  it hurts to get in the van.  What doesn't hurt?   Anywhoo..we won't see this Chiro again because he doesn't take our insurance.  I hoped that the King would get some kind of relief today getting adjusted but that didn't happen.   The King was giving me a hard time about the appointment being a waste of time and $$$ because the Chiro just told him what he already knew.  "I already know what they are going to tell me. "  UGH!

Need to find one Chiro that would take us.
