There is Love!
It's 11 something in the morning and I was feeding Warrior 4 his rice cereal and milk. When we were almost done, the King walks in and immediately Warrior 4 starts to get the King's attention by stiffening his whole body, flailing his arms and legs. It was so funny to watch. Warrior 4 is very expressive alright. He continued to stare at the King...but he had to finish his food. He was letting his daddy know that he was happy to see him! He was anxious to be picked up by the King. As soon as the King picked him up... happy happy joy joy was he.
Love at Home
Love at home was our topic for FHE last nigh at the Keni house and it was a good reminder for us all. We need to be honest, we need not yell, we need to help each other, help keep the house clean and all that wonderful stuff are all key ingredients for having LOVE in the home.
As Plain Jayne was giving the lesson, thoughts came to mind that yes, we ought to do all that for our family. In reality, more often than not we tend to show more love to other people aside from family members. We tend to speak softly and kindly with others, while the ones we love we tend to speak harshly and mean to. Why is that?
We are quick to give help when they are in need. I'm not saying that it is wrong to serve others but the love and kindness that we show others should also be shown if not more within the walls of our own home.
Is there such a thing as too much service? How thin can a person spread themselves to help others? How thin do we spread ourselves to serve our own family? Anyway, just a thought. I better stop here because I don't want to sound more stupid if what I wrote was stupid to begin with.

So Behind
Sabong (flower) ti Katuday.
Karing! Tuyo! Stinky dried and salted fish! It's very delish with fresh tomatoes!
This is what the flower looked like prior to cooking.
Dipping sauce. (Aramang with Calamansi)
Marunggay leaves going in a fish and soup broth with BOGGOONG or bagoong (fermented fish).I know I have been slacking. I need to keep up with posting pictures of our ever growing family. Things have been good. Just the everyday mundane things. Eat, poop, sleep and chores. =)
I miss my Mama and Papa. I hope that they are okay. I can't call them because someone stole their telephone wires. The entire town is out of phone and internet services, again. This is the second time it happened. Anyway, I hope that they were not in harms way when the typhoon hit.
Anyway, i miss having somebody eat my "stinky" food with. I miss having a good laugh with them.. Filipino inside jokes and silly things in general. I miss conversing with them in my native tongue, ILOCANO.

King's Day!
Here's to another day of being older and wiser.
With age comes wisdom. (You're one of the wisest people I know!)
I was trying to think of what to get you for your birthday but nothing came to mind.
More socks, perhaps a wallet and another tie? No! you've made it clear not to get you these every year.
I didn't even bake you a cake because of time. There is roast beef in the crockpot to eat just in time.
So, to Foodland I will go to buy your chocolate cake and ice cream. Rocky Road and Cookies and Cream.
I know you like your toys. Flat screen tv and anything that says manly. As you know, I don't have that kind of money.
Video games and movies were next on my list but I still no moh money to buy you these, HOney.
So, for now here is a shout out from me to you.
you have a birthday shout hooray.
we want to sing to you today.
One year older and wiser, too. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!
You da bOmb!
xoxo

Hands
Warrior 4 is now able to roll from his back to his belly. He loves clasping his hands together and bringing the soles of his feet together. He just recently found his feet. It is so funny watching him swing his legs up over and over again. When he realized their existence, he started to grab them. That was even funnier to watch because he has short arms. (the King demonstrated that when Warrior 4's arms were placed over his head, his hands barely touch each other barely wrapping his whole head.) Either that or Warrior 4 just has a super sized head. =) now you try! Try bringing your arms over the head and interlacing them ...do you see space between your head and your arms?

8 Hours
My baby slept for 8 hours last night! He drank 18 oz within a 3 hour period (4pm-7pm). I hope this is the start of sleeping through the night. It is now 5:08 am and he is playing and talking. Oopsie! He just made a poopsie.
It is now 5:45 am and he just went down.
At 4:20 a.m. nursed for about 15 minutes, then the bottle (6 oz)
5:30 am gave him another 2 oz of formula.
geez my neck is stiff.

Cooling Off.
yo! The King is home! Hurry Lady...the Goo babes want to go for a swim. Oh, I finally got it after digging deep in my crazy brain. The King will be doing some work for the Inn ...that's why the Goo Babes want to go with the King so they can swim at the pool! DUH!
Princess, da Big Sister.
Initial contact of feet in the water...Warrior 4 screamed like crazy.
Take it slow!
Sucking of the upper lip.
Warrior 4 ended up loving the cold water after all.
Love this picture of WArrior 1 and Warrior 2.
It is nice to see the Goo BAbes playing nicely together. They can get into each other's nerves you know and sometimes act like cats and dogs.
aww, my babies! They love each other.
Rice Cereal is Yummy!
Warrior 4 is such a happy baby! Today was my 1st attempt to feed him rice cereal. He was so funny. The first batch I mixed was on the runny side just to see how he takes it...well, he was smiling from ear to ear as I fed him. He didn't even make a face. His tongue was coordinated enough to swallow the cereal with minimal mess. He really liked it! He ate it like he'd been eating it for a while. He had three servings. Which the consistency of the latter two were thick like goo. Okay, that is all.

4 Months Checkup
the kids playing w/ Warrior 4.
Warrior 4 stripped to his bare skin weighed a whooping 17 lbs and 8 oz. He measured at 66 cm (25.98 inches) tall. Our little warrior is no longer little that's for sure. He is at 90th percentile for his weight and that he'll be at least 6 feet tall (that's what the Dr. predicts). Our growing warrior can now crack up and roll on to his belly. He wears a size 3 diaper to cover his chunky butt.
His brothers and sister loves him very much. They play with him, care for him and make FUN of him. They specially love it when they make him smile and crack up. Warrior 1 loves to take him for a walk in the stroller. Warrior 4 loves looking at the leaves and the trees waving at him. Warrior 2 loves to carry him, tickle him and squeeze his chubs. Warrior 3 loves to give him kisses. Princess is great in putting him to sleep. The King makes him smile, gurgle and crack up.
Early one morning, I was awakened by the two of them talking "bubbles". This was at 4 o'clock in the morning ! They were having their own party. Warrior 4 squealing, and reciting his "aaaaaaaaah" and "oooooh" at various pitches and tones.
Well, I still have a lot of pictures to post from last month so...this is all for now.

Baby Sitter
8/12/09 Wednesday
Check out one of my baby sitters? Should I fire him? Warrior 2 loves his brother. He still manages to play his skateboard game while keeping his little brother happy. =) Woohoo! Every time Warrior 4 cries for something...Warrior 2 will be one of the first ones to rescue him. He loves to carry his baby brother and make him smile by calling him..."chubbah chubbah" and squeezing his chubs. Mommy and Daddy are grateful for helping care for "Ading" Warrior 4. We love you.
Warrior 4 needs to get a TAN.
Check out the contrast in the color of their skin.
Cape (kah-peh) at Gatas (gahtas). Coffee and Milk. Cookies and Cream.

My Warriors
Seen: Warrior 4 flinging his right arm and right leg back and forth to get momentum so he can roll over on his belly. He did this for a couple of minutes and failed to go on his tummy.
Heard: Warrior 4 squealing like a piglet.
Seen: Warrior 2 picking up Warrior 4 to soothe his crying.
Seen and Heard: King playing with Warrior 4 at 4 am. Warrior 4 is laughing.

Princess will be 13
Here is our Princess! She is turning 13 pretty soon. How time flies. She is growing up to be one fine young woman. At church, a new 1st counselor was called, the girls started introducing themselves and when it came to Princess' turn, she said her name and then the leader proceeded to guess that she is in the Laurels class. Princess was like..."No, I'm only a Beehive."
So, after church she was like, "Mom if people think I'm older now, then what would people think of when I am older in the future? "
what is the answer? you'll be an old lady! =)
Crying Spells

not stopping.
he is for real..no stopping.
The Warrior and the Toad
SCIENCE 101. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeew. Brace yourselves! Warrior 4 is going to meet Toad for the very first time! The King found it outside where he and the older Warriors were working. Check out Warrior 4's reaction. What a brave little Warrior. He didn't know what to think of it. It was just another one of Heavenly Father's creations. =)
Oh, so that is a toad. NOt a fRog.
What is the difference?
Do I want to touch it?
