The King's X-RAY

Took the King to the Chiropractor today.  Filled out papers (the king hated that), took x-rays which took an hour.  He said he'll explain  he X-RAY later in the afternoon.  The king was asked to stand up, walk, bend forward, sideways, blah blah.  Chiro too busy in the morning.  Tells us to come back in the afternoon. Took the King home and  I went to work for 3 hours.

At 3pm went back to the Chiro.  Showed us the X-RAY.  One vertebrae on the lumbar region is partially dislocated.  LOOKS really bad!  How can he not feel that?  Well, the King felt it but didn't do anything about it.  WHY?  All these years I thought it was muscle tightness and soreness from doing manual labor (pulling of cables, crawling under houses, climbing and stuff).  I was so wrong!  Here I was thinking I was doing him a favor by massaging him but in fact I was not.   All those years of massaging and the kids and moi standing, sometimes bouncing on his back  added to the problem.  It made the problem worse.   Sleeping on his belly another red flag.  HELOOW!  WHAT ELSE went WRONG?  That EXPLAINS his snappy-ALA-crab moods.   Because he is SOOPER uncomfortable and in so much pain.  Don't take it personally if he snapped or snaps at you.  =)

How can I relate?  Think of an excruciating toothache or better yet LABOR PAINS going 24/7.  Not to mention his pain had been going on for YEEEEEEEAAAAAARRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSS!   I don't understand how he was able to ignore this pain for that long?  Too much tolerance?  Too stubborn to listen?  You tell me.  PAIN is one of our body's way of communicating to us "something is wrong".  I guess now, his body is SCREAMING that he is surrendering.

Anyway,  the Chiro  kept asking the King if he was ever in an accident or any kind of trauma and what not but hell-ow the King just laughs and says no.  In my head...I was like "didn't you say you fell through someones roof while working?  Didn't you prevent that long ladder that was against the pole from falling in the middle of Kamehameha Hwy?"

The King has been in a lot of pain.  It hurts to stand for a long time (a long time=5, 10, 15 minutes, who knows.  IDK),  it hurts to get out of bed,  it hurts to get in the van.  What doesn't hurt?   Anywhoo..we won't see this Chiro again because he doesn't take our insurance.  I hoped that the King would get some kind of relief today getting adjusted but that didn't happen.   The King was giving me a hard time about the appointment being a waste of time and $$$ because the Chiro just told him what he already knew.  "I already know what they are going to tell me. "  UGH!

Need to find one Chiro that would take us.
